Inspiration came from a small Japanese lacquered tray I have had for years. The elegance of Cranes has always fascinated me. This original painting was created using watercolor and gouache on gold ground. It is sized 16 x 20 inches and is painted on Arches 140 lb. paper, and it is unframed.
